In Northern Michigan, nature is about to reveal its deadliest secret. A series of strange events baffle the residents of a local resort town. People go into the water and disappear; lakeshore properties are mysteriously vacant; and a bizarre slimy mass accumulates within the weeds. When his customers begin to vanish without a trace, resort owner Greg Goodman unites with the local Sheriff to investigate the matter. Before long, they realize something is lurking in this lake—something that was not here before.
