1883, London. She does not know it yet, but Anne is walking into a house of beasts. Journalist Anne Adams is looking to push her career forward by taking on more interesting and pressing stories. One can only imagine her disappointment when she is tasked with writing a fluff piece on local mining magnate, Lord Lawrence Avalaude. The infamous businessman has invited only a single member of the press to a small reception on Christmas Eve in his private manor. The guests within make up a strange collection of characters all trying to hide dark secrets of their past dealings with Avalaude. Soon, a world of darkness and deviance is unveiled, as Anne must survive encounters with otherworldly beasts and the vile impulses of London's elite class.
