What pathways do we take that irrevocably change the direction of our lives? Is there such a thing called fate, that which we cannot avoid regardless of our choices? And are we confined to the limitations of our birthright, even if our birthright is unwell? Or, if given the right circumstances, can we ascend to heights beyond what our capabilities dictate? Such are the questions regarding this small, sickly orphan of no regard and no consequence. However, perhaps it was his lack of consequence that made him the perfect choice.
