There are things more perpetual than love. There are evils so old, so mysteriously murky, that all they know is dread. In an atmosphere of violent supremacy, Stephen Roeder contested the darkness and thought he could do it with peace and love. But some only need a gentle push into conflict to change their outlook on humanity.
