Overview
Acting as a prequel to the events of The Darkness of the Womb, this standalone free short story centers around the Archetype, Instinct. His mission is to journey inside the mind of a dreamer in order to influence them to make a crucial decision that will affect the rest of history. But dreams are unpredictable, and Instinct finds himself on shaky ground once he enters the dream world. Will he survive his mission, or will he find that even he, the embodiment of mankind's Instinct, can't even handle the world of the subconscious?Interview with the authorQ. How is this book connected to The Darkness of the Womb? This book is a prequel to that story. A lot of the characters in TDotW appear in this story who might not have gotten the spotlight, so I wanted to shine a light on those characters a little bit more.Q. How does this book fall into Christian fiction?Well, you might be able to tell from the title. That's all I'll say on the matter.Q. As an African American author, what do you feel you need to bring to the genre of science fiction?I feel that great sci-fi doesn't need to be race-centered just because the author might be a minority. Compelling tales can be told no matter the race, and I want to make that clear with my fiction.Q. Why the desire to make this short story free?I feel this is a great opportunity to get people into my work and directed toward my mailing list. I hope people enjoy it.
