He and his best friend Benji Ambrose spend their time perfecting magic tricks and wondering about life and rambling around the historic city. One day while communing with a giant hackberry tree by the Tabernacle Church, the bumpy-barked tree announces, "Now the journey begins," and hands them a key with instructions that sends them forth to adventure.
