The Genesis of Lilith: A Brief Mythology of the Dark Mother 💀 scary.co

The Lore of the dark mother is quite ambiguous. In Abrahamic lore, she is said to have been the first wife of Adam, Lilith. It is said that for her refusal to submit to Adam she was banished from the garden of Eden and erased from biblical history. However, there are actual biblical texts still around that hint at Lilith's existence. It's these texts that have sparked much fascination around Lilith and her origins.She also may have origins in Mesopotamia, as the Goddess Anana. Said to be demonized by monotheistic religions for her connection to Pagans.In modern-day, Lilith is revered as a dark mother goddess. She is seen as strong and assertive, a sexually liberated being. A champion for women and women's rights. A champion for bodily autonomy. Protector of abuse survivors, mothers, and children. The lore of Lilith varies wildly depending on whom you are talking to. I think that's what makes it so much fun to write about. I really hope you enjoy my creative take on the lore of Lilith and her role in the world.
