The Mine DwellerJason Gage, the safety officer for an international mining company, is flying to northern Canada from Peru on the company’s private jet to investigate the unusual death of a miner, two kilometers down in the deepest part of the company’s diamond mine. The miner had been found decapitated and partially eaten. Jason is met at the northern airstrip by his old friend, Bill Reid who explains that a large portion of the mine is under Native land and the Indigenous miners will not return to the mine until the bizarre death is investigated.The Indigenous band chief takes Jason on a spiritual journey, and while sitting at the side of a tranquil lake, tells Jason a frightening story that has been retold over many generations. It is the legend of a terrifying creature that lived in the mountain caves, high above the tree line and once a year would terrorize the village, killing many of the villagers. The current tribal elders believe the creature has returned.Jason needs the mine to be operating again, but first he must hunt down the creature. To find it, he will require the help of his trusted friends Angelo, Washington, Juan and Castina. Jason returns to Peru to gather up his friends but in the meantime, the creature attacks again, but this time it takes a hostage.The action never stops as Jason and his group hunt for the terrifying creature inside the dark tunnels and lava tubes of the diamond mine in the frigid cold of the Canadian north.
