As it turns out, the undead aren't the only ones with a desire for flesh. Three months have passed since the outbreak in Blue Meadow. While scavenging through the baren country, the group meets a mysterious stranger who tells them about The Colony- a safe haven up in Minnesota that has been successful in keeping out zombies and infection. Taking blind faith the stranger's word, they head north. When the group gets to The Colony, it's more than they could have hoped for- shelter, food, supplies, and more survivors. One night, Lizzy sneaks out of bed. What happens to her in the darkness will change her life and the lives of everyone around her forever. An unspeakable act of violence leads to a resurgence of the virus, and it consumes The Colony.
