Markus sets out into the Desert of Despair, where he discovers Midas City and his ex-girlfriend Rosalind Hearth, another magi who blames him for the loss of her family.The two former lovers can barely be civil towards each other, but when a group of necromancers stage an assault on Midas City, they must put aside their differences or risk losing everything all over again.
