The Haunting of Alice 💀 scary.co

It is late autumn and Alice, a widow leaves her salubrious life in London to seek solace on a remote Shetland island. She rents a fishing croft in desolate Blakes Bay hoping to find some sort of comfort for her tragic loss., and to give herself time to discover who she is now she is completely alone. Things don't turn out quite as she expected and she wonders whether she has done the right thing. At times she is overwhelmed by immense grief and pushes herself to walk in all weathers and let nature soothe her sadness. Right from her first night in the fishing croft she witnesses strange events, and is not sure whether they are real or just her broken mind playing tricks on her. She happily blends in with the rhythm of the island enjoying nature and the wildlife. Her peace is shattered by odd sightings of a young girl, who appears to be of another world. She tries to settle into a solitary life, walking, growing vegetables and keeping Bees, only to be constantly interrupted and reprimanded for mis-doings by her arrogant landlord Simon Blake. Blakes Bay is the most beautiful place but holds a tragic secret, needing to be found and Alice has been chosen to find it. After giving it a fair try she hatches a plan which will eventually solve all her problems . Quite by accident the island reveals it's long hidden secret and the mystery that has haunted her comes to light, which means she can rest and finally enjoy the peace she has desperately yearned for. A journey of grief, ghosts and discovery with a happy ending.
