This small volume contains some fictional tales of the macabre, the ironic and the unexplainable which, in one way of another, share a common thread. That thread has to do with a profession that is as old as the earliest civilizations, often shrouded in mystery and which has served to assist humankind in that often unwelcome passage from life to death. These are tales of unscrupulous undertakers, of old mysterious coffins, of veneful modern machines, of childhood memories that should have not been revisited, and of happenings at a mortuary school that defy explanation.
